Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be NDIS-registered or a particular plan type?
We support self-managed and plan-managed participants. NDIA (agency) managed funding can only be used with registered providers — if that's you, contact us anyway and we'll help you understand your options at your next plan review. Not sure how your plan works? We're happy to walk you through it.
Which areas of Adelaide do you cover?
We're based in southern Adelaide and support participants across the Adelaide metro area, with the Hills fringe and Fleurieu available on request. Ask us about your suburb.
Can I choose or change my support worker?
Absolutely. Matching you with the right person is central to what we do, and if the fit isn't right we'll happily find someone who suits you better.
How quickly can support start?
It depends on your needs and availability, but we move quickly. After a first chat we'll give you a realistic timeframe and keep you updated.
How do invoicing and payments work?
For plan-managed participants we invoice your plan manager directly. Self-managed participants are invoiced directly. Everything is itemised clearly and in line with the NDIS Price Guide.
What do your services cost?
Our rates follow the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits — the standard rate framework set by the NDIA — with different rates for weekday, evening, weekend, public-holiday and sleepover supports. Every rate is written into your service agreement before supports begin, and every invoice is itemised, so there are never surprises.
What is Active Afternoons?

Our specialty: after-school and after-work sessions (usually 3–6pm) where a support worker who works like a mentor gets your teen or adult off the screen and out the door — walks, gym, sport, swimming, the skate park, fishing, or just time out in the community. Every session works towards NDIS goals like physical health, confidence, routine and independence — and it’s the same familiar face every week.

Do you work with teenagers?

Yes — teens and adults are our focus. All our workers hold NDIS Worker Screening Checks, and we hold Working With Children Checks for supporting under-18s. Parents are always in the loop: we start with a free meet & greet so your young person can decide if the fit feels right, and there are no lock-in contracts.

Can NDIS funding pay for fitness and community activities?

In most plans, yes — this support is typically funded under Social & Community Participation (Core) or Capacity Building, because the sessions work towards plan goals: health and wellbeing, social connection and independence. We support plan-managed and self-managed participants and charge at NDIS price-guide rates. Gym entry or activity costs are the participant’s own — and we keep them low, because parks, beaches and trails are free.
